Splash Watersports – Open for Business!
Townsville’s newest dive shop – Splash Watersports is officially open for business after a cracker of a grand opening weekend!
Located at 3/14 Plume Street (behind the Shamrock Hotel), they had a constant steam of divers and non divers alike throughout the weekend. Their 11 meter cougar cat (“Tethys”) was also on display. Trips begin Tuesday, 18th of January.
Over the course of 2 days, they gave away 20 trips to the reef, an open water course, 14 mask and snorkel sets, a corporate dive club membership and stacks of sausages. They also announced 3 upcoming overseas dive trips – Borneo in Oct 2011, Red Sea in May 2012 and Tonga in September 2012. An underwater photography presentation by Freetime Aperture may just have inspired a few people to try their hand at capturing some images for National Geographic!
