U/W photography events galore
The Townsville Underwater Photography and Naturalist Society (TUPANS) is hosting an underwater photography shootout down at the Yongala over Easter weekend. Trips will be going out from Ayr on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the closing ceremony/prize giving being held at Riverway Tavern on Sunday night. Great prizes are up for grabs including a Fly Dive Cod Hole trip sponsored by Mike Ball Dive Expeditions, a pair of Hollis fins sponsored by Salt Dive, and dive trips sponsored by Remote Area Dive and Yongala Dive. If you are relatively new to u/w photography and would like to increase your chances of winning a prize in the aforementioned shootout, Freetime Aperture is running a basic u/w photography course on Wednesday the 31st of March. The course will cover the basics of u/w photography (exposure, colour correction and composition amongst other things) and also teach you practical tips which will give you a head start on your new adventure.
