This Week in Diving – 27/12/10
It’s been a very wet 2 weeks in Townsville, but at last there is some activity on the water front. Some good, some not so good, but all very interesting
Bubbles from the past
Due to the weather, not a lot of trips have been going out these last 2 weeks, but some lucky punters on Adrenalin Dive’s boat to Wheeler Reef managed to record a video of a Tawny Nurse Shark, so here it is for your viewing pleasure
Something to wet your appetite
The forecast for this next week is clouds and rain, however the wind is a calm 5-15 knots, so if you are feeling lucky, try a trip to the reef. If you aren’t drinking too much on new years eve, Splash Watersports is running a special new years day trip, which will leave late morning and return later in the evening. Contact them for more details.
Land lubbers
The team at Diving Townsvile would like to wish you all a safe and happy new year! Look forward to bringing you more diving news in 2011 and hope see you in the water!
It’s not wet but we’ll tell you anyway
In case you were thinking of taking a dive off The Strand, you may want to hold off for a bit. The Strand was abuzz with lifeguards on Sunday afternoon as a crocodile was spotted off the beach. Not sure if it is still around there, so keep your eyes peeled for information from the lifeguards.
If anyone has contributions please e-mail them through to admin@divingtownsville.com by Monday afternoon and they will make the Monday evening edition of TWID.
