This Week in Diving – 3/1/11
A happy new year to everyone! I hope your new years resolution includes getting out and getting wet more
Bubbles from the past
The rain dried up this week so we were able to start the new year diving! Visibility is just clearing up after all the wet but some lucky divers on Adrenalin Dive’s boat got to see a 2 1/2 meter bull shark at Wheeler Reef. Apparently it hung around for a few minutes before swimming off.
Something to wet your appetite
It’s forecasted to alternate between sunny and cloudy for most of the week with winds between 5-10 knots. Pretty fantastic conditions for us to hopefully kick off a great year of diving! So what are you waiting for? Get out there!
Saltspray (Salt Dive’s boat) is currently moored up at Hinchinbrook for a few months as they explorer the outer reefs and islands around there. So if you are interested in something different, give them a call!
Land lubbers
Save the date!
Splash Watersport (Shop 3/14 Plume St) is having their grand opening on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of January. Do come along and bring your friends and family as there are 20 day (dive) trips to be given away! There will even be a free sausage sizzle at 11am on Saturday, so make sure you keep that weekend free.
It’s not wet but we’ll tell you anyway
This week we have a video slide show from one of our local underwater photographers
If anyone has contributions please e-mail them through to admin@divingtownsville.com by Monday afternoon and they will make the Monday evening edition of TWID.
